Commercial Property Solicitor

Enthusiastic and dedicated professional seeks permanent or temporary position in private practice or public sector handling freehold and leasehold property and business transactions in Derbyshire.

 ILEX qualification achieved in 1998 followed by completion of a Graduate Diploma in Law and a distinction in the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School.  Admitted as a Solicitor in January 2007.  Having 3 years post-qualification experience in a Commercial Property Solicitor role in private practice and 7 years experience handling property transactions for the local authority prior to qualification.

  Specialisms include:-

 1 Landlord and Tenant work, including:

- drafting, negotiating, selling and acquiring commercial leasehold interests for areas such as shop premises, industrial units and care home operators;

- drafting, negotiating, selling and acquiring residential leasehold interests, including assured shorthold tenancy agreements and long residential leases;

- lease termination and renewals;

- development work, such as creating leases for Landlords of multiple occupation buildings;

2 Bank Security, including legal charges and collateral warranties;

3 Development work;

4 Selling and disposing of commercial property;

5 General commercial property transactions;

6 Small business acquisitions and disposals;

7 High end and/or complex residential conveyancing matters.
